The Thermostop hangar door consists of vertical sectional doors with center posts sliding sideways to clear the complete opening. The 2” thick (R-18) Thermostop hangar sectional door has all the features of a superior quality industrial door: high density polyurethane foam core, high quality 26 gauge galvanized steel skins, airtight tongue-and-groove joint, 3/4” true thermal break with an integral bubble shaped weather seal, 20 gauge steel (0.86mm) continuous reinforcement backing for the solid attachment of hinges, triple-lip perimeter weather seal with extra heavy-duty aluminum retainer, robust U-rubber bottom seal, 16 gauge galvanized steel end caps, etc. Extremely airtight, well insulated and wind resistant, the Thermostop hangar door is designed and built for precise installation, safe operation and reliable use.

Technical Specifications

Center post and floor guide

The center post is designed to slide sideways to clear the opening. Hardware consists of heavy-duty double track system and trolley assembly roller systems. Floor guide to ensure the stable and safe side way movement of the center post.

Panel manufacturing process

The inner core consists of rigid polyurethane, foamed in place under high pressure between two metal skins.

Joint and Seal

High quality galvanized steel skins roll formed into an exclusive tongue-and-groove joint with a true thermal break and a bubble shaped weather seal.

Metal skins

26 ga. galvanized steel skins.

Finish

Stucco finish, with ribs.

Standard: White.

Optional colors: Shop painted.

Perimeter Weather Seal

3-lip, flexible PVC weather seal, retained in an extra robust extruded aluminum retainer.

Bottom Weather Seal

U-shaped, flexible PVC weather seal, retained in a heavy duty extruded aluminum retainer, securely fastened to the bottom of the door.

End Caps

Sections are equipped with 16ga. (1.42mm) thick galvanized steel end caps.

Full view extruded aluminum panel.
Clear anodized finish.

Type B :
Black square frame.
Double acrylic or 1/8″ – 1/8″ sealed glass.
Standard 24″ x 12″.

Type C :
Black round corner frame.

Hardware and electric operators

1-1/4” shaft with precision pollard bearings

Electric operator and accessories

Electric operator: Side-mounted “Jackshaft” motor, model XTRA-HHD or model XTRA-GHC.

Safety feature: Utility switches to cut-off operators power when doors are in open position.
