Breakaway doors

The Breakfree protection feature allows Thermostop’s Mark II (2” thick, R-18.2), Mark III (3” thick, R-24) and Mark IV (4” thick, R-32) polyurethane foam insulated doors to be equipped with a breakaway bottom panel. Thus, when outfitted with the Breakfree protection bottom panel, the Thermostop industrial sectional doors can become impactable doors by having the capability of releasing the breakaway bottom panel upon impact. As the knockout Breakfree protection bottom panel is made with the same metal skin and the same thickness as the rest of the door, the door’s exterior appearance and insulation performance will be maintained. Thermostop’s airtight 2”, 3” and 4” thick industrial doors, outfitted with the bottom Breakfree protection panel, are equipped with a panel joint bubble seal (two bubble seals for 3” and 4” thick doors), a robust triple-lip perimeter weather seal and a U-rubber bottom seal (two U-rubber bottom seals for 3” and 4” thick doors).
